CORNELIUS VALERIUS

(Kornelis Wouters oder Walthers)

geb. 1512 in Oudewater bei Utrecht, gest. 11. August 1578

Er studierte in Löwen, war dann Professor der lateinischen Sprache in Utrecht und Löwen, dort auch Pfarrer. Er hat sich besonders um eine elegantere Darstellung der Logik im Sinne des Humanismus bemüht, daneben auch um Rhetorik, Physik und Ethik.
